Cobus Marais
Audiologist
I am passionate about people and their hearing. Hearing is such an imperative part of life – hearing a child’s laughter, an emergency signal or simply the sounds of nature, good hearing is essential for a great life.
I created SoundWave Audiology to give you just that – hearing for life! My extensive career in both the public and private sector, around the world and in New Zealand, working clinically with adults, the elderly, and paediatric clients, means you get the best of everything I know.
I have a strong reputation for a good reason – I have spent the bulk of the last 17 years working in the Waikato area and as a result have built strong relationships with other hearing health providers including GP’s, Ear, Nose and Throat specialists, Hearing Therapists, Ear Nurses and Hearing Advisors with the Ministry of Education. I strongly believe that when these different professionals work together it means improved outcomes for the patients we see.
There is no one-size-fits all approach to treating hearing loss and that is why SoundWave Audiology offers you personalised treatment, specifically for your needs and your lifestyle. I am here for your hearing and health.
My wife, Ina and I have three boys, Joshua, Lukah and Benjamin and have been living in Te Awamutu for the last five years. When we are not working or involved with the boys’ sports activities, we love to spend time with family and friends and explore this beautiful country.
I look forward to meeting you and working with you on your/your child’s hearing health needs.
